Hallmark for Sterling Silver

Necklaces, Bracelets & Larger Pendants

Necklaces, Bracelets & Larger Pendants in 925 Sterling Silver are sent off to the Edinburgh Assay Office to be Hallmarked after they are made to order.

For this reason, I ask you to be patient, while it is going through this process, where possible I batch send items to be Hallmarked, this then helps to keep the cost down

(for me and for you!), so sometimes I will wait for a few Sterling orders to come through and send them together.

And sometimes I will make stock pieces (guessing what people might order), so sometimes a Sterling order will be despatched quicker because I have one in stock.

In most cases, please allow anything up to 4 weeks for your Sterling order to be despatched.

Earrings and Small Pendants

Legally I do not need to Hallmark anything under 7.78 grams.

Therefore Sterling and Fine silver earrings and smaller pendants are not Hallmarked (this helps to keep the cost down).

I do however send a certificate of authentication, which has been issued by my silver supplier.
