Hanging down approximately 2.5 inches it has been mounted on as adjustable waxed cord.

To keep your earrings in tip top condition, I recommend, you keep them out of direct sunlight, don't get them wet, avoid creams and perfumes.  On the odd occassion you are not wearing them, store them in a dark dry place.
